Karakoram Range, Pakistan
We all go our own ways and sometimes those ways bring us together. In Pakistan I teamed up with other people to get where I needed to go but when the big mountains first appeared I knew exactly where I wanted to be - I was going where I was going, and probably alone.
This is my nature - the internal dialogue, the meditation, the trance. I love good company, but often my most profound moments are experienced alone. Perhaps dreamers are built this way, their alternate universe can be easier to maintain in solitude. So seeing the Cathedral Spires for the first time was like entering a solitary dream, something I had imagined on numerous occasions, and wondering what that would feel like. And finally here it was.
